The Complete Art-Figures Catalog

There was some discussion about the latest pre-order from Art-Figures, Crazy Racer aka Mad Max. A lot of folks expressed grief over the head sculpt and the likeness (or lack thereof) to actor Tom Hardy. Upon first look at the prototype photos, you might need to take a few seconds to recognize him because as with most of Art-Figures’ releases, the head sculpt is a slightly caricature, exaggerated take on the actor’s face. To illustrate that point, below is an image of headshots of all Art-Figures’ figures compiled from their website.

So even if the uncanny accuracy of actors’ faces isn’t as impressive as Hot Toys’ or Enterbay’s releases, for Art-Figures’ asking price, we sure get the proverbial bang-for-our-buck. Most of you will probably get a custom Mad Max head sculpt to replace the stock one anyway.

Oh and for the love of God I cannot stress enough the FACT that each and every one of us sees people’s faces differently. What may be accurate to some, may be garbage to others. What may be incredibly gorgeous to her, might be hideous monsters for everyone else! Case in point: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10154038377504466
